this is adjustable it has a counterweight so you can put it as high or low as you want and it has a very long cord if you have high ceilings or one it up high on the wall you can lower it to where you need it. it also adjusts from side to side if you want to hang in closer to the wall. it sticks out about 1 ft with the hanging apparatus. one side of the globe is perfect and one has some scuffs but overall pretty awesome. globe is 12 in approximately. lights up beautifully
